In addition to sponsoring the weekly publication of the Nerve (the club bulletin of the Rotary Club of Tuscaloosa), and maintaining the club website, the Communications director supervises the following committees:
Public Relations
The Public Relations Committee is to the outside community what the Information Committee is to the membership. Its task is to regularly inform the community about Rotary — the local club, but also District and Rotary International.
Rotary Information
The Rotary Information Committee is responsible for sharing with prospective new members an understanding of what Rotary membership entails. This includes, at a minimum, a clear definition of expectations regarding service, attendance, finances, and support of the Rotary Foundation. The committee also presents occasional programs for the membership, keeping them “up-to-date” on what’s going on in the wide world of Rotary.
Technology
For audio visual needs during weekly presentations, and all other needs related to computers and other communication technologies, contact the Communications Director.
