Last week The Rotary Club of Tuscaloosa welcomed Toby Roth. Mr. Roth spoke to the club about what generally goes on in Montgomery. He went over the Judicial, Executive, and Legislative Branches of the State Government.

He mentioned that Alabama is the only State with 2 budgets. The first is the education budget, which is funded mostly from sales and income tax. The second is the General Fund, which is primarily funded by oil and gas income. It involves all other state functions such as Medicaid, DMH, DOC, and Health Care. Mr. Roth stated the importance of every citizen knowing what is going on in State Government.
